At this small event, residents will come to my apartment and watch "Crazy, Stupid, Love" while we eat pizza and drink beverages. The purpose of this event is to develop a stronger relationship with my residents and to watch a great movie. Residents will are also free to discuss what they believe the relevance of valentine's day to be.

As residents are getting through midterms, they will have the opportunity to de-stress by making Valentine's Day decorations for they room entrance.
Galentine’s Day is a holiday that falls the day before Valentine’s Day, February 13th. It highlights the love and friendship among women, or, dare I say, gals. In Leslie Knope's own words, “February 14th, Valentine’s Day, is about romance, but February 13th, Galentine’s Day, is about celebrating lady friends. It’s wonderful and it should be a national holiday.”
Like "Secret Santa", but for Valentine's Day. Because not every resident will have a Valentine... residents can spread some good feelings for each other without committing hallcest.
Warm fuzzies for Valentines Day! Residents will write down some fond memories of when someone made them smile or an event that made great memories for them. After the week is over, we'll be reading them aloud and enjoy all the good times we've had.
To provide a space for students to enjoy the day who do not have plans to celebrate Valentine's Day.
On Valentine's Day, residents will go through the halls of both A/B and D/E in Aberdeen & Inverness posting little self-esteem notes on the doors of residents with chocolate. Each note will state,

A community building program where I put on a sappy movie, provide those silly elementary school valentine's day cards for everyone to make for each other, and give out lots of candy.
This educational program will be designed to teach the residents about how to have happy, healthy relationships. However, this will not end with romantic relationships. We will also focus on friendships, as well as how to be happy single. At the program, we will have a resource table about how to know you are in an abusive relationships, and resources to get help. Our team will be providing chocolate cookies, strawberries, and condoms for residents to celebrate valentines day. We will be bringing health and awareness to residents about the importance of practicing safe sex.
We will be using a Pinterest idea to create our own Valentine's Day gift bags. Residents can give these bags to their friends or boyfriends.
Making Valentine's Day cards and crafts to send to loved ones or share with friends. This program is intended to help those have fun who may not have any plans on Valentine's day or for those who have someone special but cannot afford something special
This program will be Valentine themed. In this program residents will be able to decorate a sugar cookie for someone else and themselves. I will also be plating a romantic comedy throughout the program to spark up some interesting conversation topics. Supplies will also be provided so residents have the opportunity to decorate their door and make cards.
This event is an alternative Valentine's Day that allows students to participate in self love instead of the form of love that is traditionally linked to Valentine's Day. In doing this we will have a 'Wall of Struggs and Loves" where students can write about things they struggle with as well as things they love about themselves. Back by popular demand: its a mic night!! residents will have an opportunity to show everyone there skills at singing, rapping, poetry reading anything. Participation will earn residents raffle tickets to win prizes and at the end of the night the best performer will receive a grand prize. There will be coffee, hot chocolate and snacks for residents to enoy.
A small scale event where residents will gather in the media lounge to watch The Notebook and munch on popcorn.
