Grocery Bingo

Residents will come out and interest with one another while playing bingo and win chance at getting some groceries to take home with them.

CAPE - Passive

Will educate residents on cultural appropriation now that Halloween is coming up. We will be informing students on the Compton Cookout and the effects that it had on UCSD.

This event is for the passive portion of the CAPE program. Picket signs were placed in front of the Matthews apartments informing residents what cultural appropriation is and how we can combat it.

100s building residents will be able to take a quick needs assessment on what kinds of study breaks they would like to see throughout the year. Participants will receive ice cream sandwiches.

D2E Assassins-10/13/14

The purpose of this program is to build community through sock-throwing. Each resident is assigned a "target" and has to "kill" them by throwing a sock at them. I will be setting up a bulletin board that has each resident's name that would like to play. There will be specific rules; safety items, safe zones, target areas, etc..

On the Thursday before Halloween I will be hosting a activity where the residents can get dressed up for Halloween and go trick or treating in the halls. The way that the activity will go is for a half an hour the A and C rooms will be able to be the "Kids" and go trick or treating while the B and D rooms will stay home and be the ""Parents" handing out candy. In lieu of turkey day, residents will get to make hand turkeys, coloring the feathers with different colors that represent certain identities. Red and blue: Male or female. Green: student, etc. This will help the residents to show where they come from as well as learning where others are coming from.

4th floor South Tea Party

Resident Exclusive for my side of the hall. Will be to check in how the end of their semester is going, if they have any questions about move out/summer housing/continuing housing/whatever else. Will be providing cookies, crumpets, and tea. If residents don't show up, I will be leaving them goodie bags on their doors with reminders of move out and end of the year check outs.
