On September 27th I will be hosting a mock super bowl party where we will have a Madden tournament with the typical super bowl foods, decor, and contests.
Since August is National Picnic month. I want to take this time and utilize one of our amenities: The picnic scenary in the Village! I want to prepare lunch for residents and bring it to the picnic area for all of us to enjoy. I'm thinking popsicles, pizzA, and chicken fingers. Hopefully I can get Myles to bring his speaker for the music.
Come by the leasing office and make some delicious waffles!
Residents will compete for free groceries!
Game night for residents, with pizza and drinks
Enjoy a rousing round of Bingo? Need some Grocery Money? Come out to the Clubhouse and enjoy a night of Grocery Bingo with the Republic of Sam Houston Staff and Residents. If you win a round of Bingo, you will receive a goody bag of groceries or an HEB Gift Card.
A cookout to show our residents appreciation
I will be providing tea, coffee, and donuts for residents as a way for them to take a break from studying and destress from midterms. I will also have different games such as jenga, life, and scattergories. Lastly, I will be borrowing a laptop and projector in case my residents wish to watch a movie.
Divide attendees into teams and play taboo. Enjoy party snacks while playing.
Play TWISTER!!!!!! And eat SNACKS!!!
Classes, work or other matters have you stressed? Well join your friendly RA Chris Rios, at the Student Recreation Center to work off that built up stress.
Residents eating s'mores by the pool
A small Gathering in the clubhouse for our new residents to meet each other as well as meet previos\us residents.
A welcoming pool party for our new residents.
I provided tea, coffee, and mini donuts for residents as a way for them to take a break from studying and destress from finals. I also took out my game of jenga, and rented a laptop and projector to play the movie "Pain and Gain".
All residents are invited (especially those with animals) to join the Hawks Ridge staff for a pet meet and greet! It would be a great time for residents to interact with other residents who have animals and hopefully build relationships!
What better way than to kick off the semester with FREE stuff?! But you have to WORK for it – duh! And not that boring type of “school work”. We’re talking fun, exciting, and best of all COMPETITIVE. So put together your team of people, come up with a cool (but nerdy) team name and join us for some schoolyard fun. Winning team members will get a bag of school supplies!
This will provide a chance for residents to meet people from other halls if they haven't gotten a chance yet, while enjoying some barbecued food and music.
Food would consist of carne asada and chicken tacos and quesadillas.
Drinks would include water and lemonade.
Possibly a food eating contest with the award being a laminated certificate.
Provide bagels, muffins, donuts, breakfast bars and fruit and other packaged breakfast items for the residents and coffee.
Join us for a pool tournament in the clubhouse! Winner gets a gift card!
