Sungka (aka Mancala) is a popular board game played often by many children in the Philippines. Sipa is another popular and more active game children like to play outside. Residents will come, learn and play traditional culture games.
Residents will get to listen and watch other students of UH Manoa speak another dialect of the Philippines.
A Passive Program that identifies which celebrities are Filipino
Attend University of Hawaii's Katipunan Club's Annual Dramafest. Students will be able to watch and hear Filipino stories acted out by UHM students in Tagalog.
Four days with every day having something from a different culture.
Students will engage in a popular Filipino pass time known as KARAOKE! They will learn about other popular Filipino culture pass times AND attempt to sing popular music from the Philippines.
