Stress and the internet are the two greatest impediments to college success; the latter of which is more pronounced at Cal Poly Pomona. In an effort to curb this hindrance I would like to propose a pledge:
-Use the internet for no more than 30 minutes a day for one full week
-You may use the internet for more than 30 minutes a day provided you need it for class or your job
-Do something else! Spend time with people face to face, study, eat, whatever!
Why not try it? Why not try and ditch Facebook and YouTube and replace that with more face-to-face interaction, more studying, more living and more college success? It will be hard, but you can do it!
For more information or if you'd like to sign the pledge please visit RA Ryan Okerson in room 306, the 2nd or 3rd floor lobbies, or the front desk. Or you can email me and sign the pledge that way. When: Thu, Jan 29, 2009 12:00 AM - Thu, Feb 05, 2009 12:00 AM PST
