This program will consist of a Valentine's Day theme. Activities include making crafts related to Valentine's Day, decorating cookies, and watching a movie about love.

This program will consist of a Valentine's Day theme. Craft making will include cards, doilies and paper flowers. Students will also get the chance to decorate sugar cookies. A movie that involves love will be shown. Valentine's candy will be served, such as Conversation Hearts and chocolates. Information about safe sex will be given in the form of a passive program and condoms will be provided.

-Attendance was very good! Students enjoyed arts and crafts and cookies.
-Materials lasted
-Clean up was well done

-Cover all tables, be strategic about glitter use (make it easy to clean up), order more cookies and less frosting, ask students to clean as they go and make announcements about waste station, show movie where students are decorating valentines

Yup, Matt spoke with the Cantu center and they gave him some suggestions for movies to show and we are going to preview some of them as a group and decide which to watch. Do you have any other ideas that might be helpful?

Sounds good, I'll go talk with them on Friday to see if we can work something out. I think a passive would work well.

Is there anyway you can challenge the Heterosexual nature of this event? Maybe a great opportunity for some diversity & Social Justice work aound GLBT topics and issues. Perhaps collaborating with Cantu might make sense.
